Madjid Khaladj is an Iranian musician born in 1962 in Qazvin. He started playing the Tombak from the age of seven and at the age of twelve won the first prize at the Ramsar Festival for the first time. He left Iran for France at the age of 18 and at the age of 25 he started studying at the Sorbonne Center for Oriental Studies. He is also an architect and graduated from the Paris School of Architecture. His favorite instruments are Tombak and Daf.
