Bijan Mortazavi

Bijan Mortazavi is an Iraninan musician, composer, and singer who was born in 1957 in Babol, Iran. His style is a mix of classical Iranian music and pop. He started playing the violin when he was just 3. At the age of 7, he started learning how to play classical Iranian instruments. At 11, he won the national students’ music competition in Iran. At the age of 14, he created his own orchestra, made up of 32 people. After finishing high-school he emigrated to England and then to the United States. His wordless pieces are some of his most recognizable and famous works.
