Qamar al-Muluk Vaziri, born in 1905 in Takistan, is a traditional Iranian singer in her era. She was the first Iranian female singer to perform without a veil. In 1924, she gave her first concert at the Grand Hotel in Tehran. Qamar spent many of her concerts’ incomes on charity so that she spent the last years of her life in poverty. She passed away on Thursday, August 6, 1959 in Shemiran, Tehran.
